The Cintra House project involved the excavation of a new three-storey basement and the partial demolition of the rear of the building, while carefully retaining the Grade II listed front façade. Significant structural alterations were carried out throughout the retained structure to allow for the building’s full redevelopment. The works required careful planning, temporary support, and detailed sequencing to manage the deep excavation and the integration of new structural elements. The project successfully combined sensitive heritage retention with modern commercial redevelopment within a constrained urban site.
